Name: Chris Addams Williams (CAW) and John Williamson (JW)
Vineyard Address: Llangibby Estate, via Mount Barker
What prompted you to develop a vineyard?
CAW: A desire to create something tangible and of value after 27 years of
corporate bullshit working for US and UK advertising agencies in different parts
of the world.
JW: It was a great way to escape from the advertising world, and become
involved in the wonderful McLaren Vale region, where I've lived for many years.
Also the urge to produce better fruit than
Hastwell & Lightfoot!
What are your prospects for the future?
CAW: Having enormous fun and success working with like-minded people, and
earning the odd buck or two. There is nothing to beat the thrill of producing
your own label, which others can enjoy . . . sounds like an old ad-man speaking!
JW: That maybe one day we might win a trophy for our Llangibby
Tempranillo.
Favourite Meals:
CAW: Seared tuna steak with a really well made salad nicoise. Hot curries
. . .serious reds from Burgundy and Rioja.
JW: Pasta (because it can come in so many variations), accompanied by a
good Adelaide Hills Cabernet.

CAW: One wife, Liz who is a professional artist and polo player, plus an
assortment of teenagers - Jack, Amber and Alexander.
JW: Three wives, now a partner, three daughters, two son-in-laws, one
grandson and two adopted dogs. John also listed is hobbies as: Collecting
wives and playing golf, oh, and making life difficult for viticulturists!
