DM Plastics and Steel is a privately owned manufacturing company which
has been producing products for the Viticultural and Rural industries
since 1983. The range of products consists of Rural Fencing Systems,
Vineyard Trellis products, Windmill products, Poly pipe, Steel
Structural Ag. Bar, Poly to Wire ties and Micro Irrigation systems and
supporting products.
In 1986 DM Plastics developed the now very successful Poly Dropper for
rural fencing as well as the C-Post for rural fencing. The Vinstake was
developed for the burgeoning wine industry.
The company currently sells products to all states of Australia, New
Zealand, United Arab Emirates and USA. We have also had sales through
distributors in South America, Malaysia & Pacific Island.
Viticultural Product

Vinstakes  - Steel Trellis Posts
The Vinstake has been developed by DM Plastics for grapevine trellising
in both new and existing vineyards. Available as full length posts or
extension posts which may be retro-fitted to most existing posts. The
posts are manufactured into low cost rolled 'C' section posts with tabs
spaced 120mm (almost 5") apart on both sides, providing a semi-flexible
post easy to install and ideally suited for wire lifting, harvesting and
pruning operations.
The unique multiple snap-in tab system of the Vinstake allows drip line
and cordon wires to be easily secured and the catch wires easily moved
up or down and 'snapped' into the appropriate tab. All wires may be
protected from wear by the use of the Vinstake Guard, a low cost poly
section snapped into the tab.

Vinstake Extensions  are smaller sections of Vinstake which may be
driven into or bolted onto wooden posts, fitted over 'star' or 'Tee'
posts and allow an existing trellis system to be increased in height.
Extensions come in lengths of 360mm (1' 2") through to 1200mm (4' 0").
Prudent Trellis Clips  are designed to secure wires for trellis systems
using timber posts or a mix of timber and steel posts. Clips are
manufactured from tough U.V. resistant Polyethelene. The double ended
hook allows wires to be secured upwards or downwards, and the 17mm long
holding area provides a large load area for the wire, and minimises the
wear by wire movement. The clips are easily installed using a 50mm (2")
barbed staple that prevents the clip turning or being dislodged by the
harvesting or pruning machines.

Low Density Poly Pipe is manufactured to Type 30 Class Irrigation to AS
2698.1 standard for Drip Irrigation. The pipe is manufactured in 10, 13,
16, 19, 25 and 32mm in commercial coil lengths. DM Plastics also
manufacture rural pipe up to 2" and metric pipe up to 110 mm.

Drip Emitters are non-compensating and manufactured with a 2.5 (1/4
gall) or 4 litre (1/2 gall) per hour output. The emitters are designed
to allow easy disassembly should cleaning be required. The 4lph emitteris designed to allow the flow to be turned off and extra emitters installed as the vines develop and have a higher watering requirement.

Pre-Inserted Drip Tube is produced using the above manufactured linear low density polyethylene tube and installing the DM Plastics emitters to the tube. The 2.5 or 4 lph non-compensating emitters, or the 2, 4 or 8 lph compensating emitters are factory inserted utilizing computer controlled spacings to the client's requirements.

Poly Wire Ties are designed to allow cheap easy secure attachment of the drip line to the drip line wire. They are available in two sizes, to suit the 10-16mm poly tube and to suit the 19-25mm poly tube. The material is U.V. resistant poly of a medium density to allow easy
installation and good memory in the 'pig-tail'.
